Private Tutoring

When is Private Tutoring Necessary?

During the school year, private tutoring is most common because of the wide variety of schedules, classes, and schools students from which students come. During the summer, many do not need private tutoring because they are looking to review or solidify their skills, or they want to get ahead for the upcoming year. Also, there are less openings for private tutoring during the summer.

Summer Private Tutoring is Mainly Offered For:

  • Students who are far behind and need intense one-on-one assistance.

  • Students who are skipping a class (often pre-Algebra) and need to master the skills missed in order to take Algebra.

  • Larger families who would find it cost effective to schedule their family all together.

One-On-One Tutoring

There are three summer packages for one-on-one tutoring. You may choose either four, six, or eight sessions depending on need and availability. These sessions will be custom designed using a student’s standardized test scores, difficulties during the year, and an opening assessment. These sessions are generally done on-line and are open to rising 5th to 10th graders. Sessions cost $50/hour and are charged in the following blocks.

4 Sessions | $200
6 Sessions | $300
8 Sessions | $400

Family Tutoring

“The family that studies Math together…” Bring your whole family to review and strengthen their Math skills. Children may work online or in-person but a parent is asked to stay during the session. Sessions cost $60/hour and are scheduled as shown below.

4 Sessions | $240
6 Sessions | $360
8 Sessions | $480

Friend Group Tutoring

Do you have a small group of families who would like to regularly commit to tutoring together? Students must be from the same school and class, and studying the same topic. More information will be available in the Fall.
